Hindu contractor and his family brutally attacked by Muslims for objecting to road damage

Case Summary
In Kopargaon, Maharashtra, Hindu contractor Ganesh More and his family were brutally attacked after objecting to road damage. The incident was triggered when a rickshaw driver, angered by being asked not to drive over freshly paved asphalt, attacked contractor Ganesh More. When his brothers Yogesh and Pawan More, along with former municipal councillor Krishna Aadhav, intervened, the driver and his 10-12 supporters assaulted them with wooden sticks, iron rods, and stones. The injured were rushed to SGS Hospital, while a case was registered at Kopargaon City Police Station. Based on a complaint by Yogesh More, the police booked Azeem Karim Sheikh, Amjad Jahabad Pathan, Majid Rashid Pathan, and four to five others. While two have been arrested, the rest remain at large. Following the attack, the Sakal Maratha community and various organisations called for a bandh in Kopargaon city and taluka, which saw widespread participation, demanding immediate arrests and strict action against the accused.
