In Amba, Aurangabad district of Bihar, a minor Hindu girl was lured away by a Muslim man named Mohammad Jasim. The girl is a resident of Amba in Aurangabad district in Bihar, and the Muslim man is a resident of Garhwa in Jharkhand. Jasim worked as a borewell operator. He travelled to Amba for his work. He met the girl and lured her into a relationship. The two started meeting secretly. When the family of the girl got to know about their relationship, they arranged the marriage of the girl and also fixed the date of the wedding. When the minor came to know about this, she told Jasim about it. After this, Jasim and the girl met at Amba Bazar and both eloped from there. When the teenager did not return home till late at night, the family started searching for her. Meanwhile, the family received a photo on WhatsApp which showed the girl wearing sindoor and sitting next to Jasim. Disturbed by this, the family filed a police complaint. The police began investigating the matter and tracked the phones of Jasim and the girl. The police managed to track them down from Garhwa and managed to catch hold of them. They were planning to change the SIM cards so they could not be traced by the police or the girl's family. The police arrested Jasim and sent him to jail. Meanwhile, Julie was sent to the court to record her statement and was then handed over to her family. Hindu organisations supported the girl's family and demanded strict action against the accused.
