Father and Hindu locals attacked with bricks by Muslim men for opposing molestion attempt of minor Hindu girl

Case Summary
In Varanasi, a minor Hindu girl was molested by a Muslim man named Bilal. The 11-year-old girl had gone out of her house to buy some household items. A short distance away, a Muslim man dragged and molested her. The girl caught hold of the molester, shouted, and called her father. The father and other Hindu locals from the colony caught the accused and started taking him to the police station. Meanwhile, a group of 20 Muslims blocked their way and attacked the Hindus with bricks and stones. They became very violent and managed to free the accused, taking him away with them. A Hindu man named Rahul Prajapati was seriously injured in the altercation and was taken to Kabirchaura Hospital for treatment. Upon receiving the information, DCP Gaurav Bansal, ACP Kotwali Pragya Pathak, and the Kotwali police station in-charge arrived at the location. The police identified the accused based on the victim’s complaint and registered a case against them. They managed to arrest 13 accused individuals.
