Hindu girl molested and her uncle beaten up by Muslim mob

Case Summary
In the Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, a Muslim mob started molesting a class 10 Hindu minor. When the girl's uncle tried to intervene and save the victim, he was brutally thrashed by the mob. The Hindu man was kicked, punched and assaulted with a belt. According to reports, the girl was returning along with her uncle from her tuition classes. On the way, she was accosted by Tauheed Khan, Irfan Khan and Raja Shakya and Aamir alias Ajju who started misbehaving with her. When the uncle started being assaulted by the Muslim mob, bystanders got involved and started apprehending the accused. The accused fled the scene but were later arrested.

The act of molestation of the minor and the assault of the victim's uncle when he was trying to save the girl are both crimes ab initio.
