BJYM leader Praveen Kammar stabbed to death during a temple festival in Karnataka's Dharwad, four accused detained

A Bharatuya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Dharwad Unit Executive Member and Kottur Gram Panchayat VP Praveen Kammar was murdered on 18 April, 2023, during a temple festival at Karnataka’s Dharwad district. According to the police, the murder took place when Jatra was being taken out in the temple. Praveen had got into a scuffle with intoxicated miscreants and one of them stabbed him with a knife in the stomach and fled. The Police launched a manhunt to nab the accused and detained four suspects, confirming their involvement in the murder. BJYM National President and Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya called it a murder by the political rivals, but the Police refuted this angle.
