Durga temple robbed in Uttar Pradesh; sacred ornaments and donation box stolen

Case Summary
In Jorai Khavambar village, located in the Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh, a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Durga was robbed by unidentified individuals. According to reports, the thieves broke the lock of the Durga Mata Mandir and stole the donation box, the crown, and other valuable items. Upon receiving the news of the robbery on the following morning, a crowd of villagers gathered at the site. Outraged by the incident, they promptly informed the police. Additional Superintendent of Police, Shubham Agarwal, inspected the scene. The Hindu villagers told him that there was no resident priest at the temple. The temple always remained open for devotees from morning until evening. The temple was locked at night, during which the robbery occurred. The next morning, when villagers approached the temple and saw the broken lock, they were shocked. Upon entering the temple, they discovered that a silver crown, a gold nose ring, a trident, and a bell of the goddess were missing. The villagers mentioned that there is a canal culvert some distance away, where drug addicts are known to gather. They stated that such individuals might have robbed the temple. Following the inspection, the Additional Superintendent of Police assured the villagers that the site had been thoroughly examined and that efforts were underway to apprehend the culprits. The police also advised the villagers to install CCTV cameras in the temple for enhanced security.
