A minor Hindu girl was abducted by her Muslim school teacher in the Bansdih Kotwali area of Ballia district. According to the victim's family and local residents, the Muslim teacher lured the minor girl and kidnapped her. The minor Hindu girl was of the Goswami community, and the community, together with others, gathered at the Kotwali police station to protest against administrative negligence. The protestors demanded that the accused be arrested, and the girl rescued within 48 hours, or else a mass agitation would be launched. As of the date of writing this report, the investigation was ongoing, and efforts were being made to rescue the minor girl.
