Muslim man injured and arrested for illegal cow smuggling in Uttarakhand

Case Summary
In Haridwar district, Uttarakhand, police arrested a Muslim man named Naushad for illegal cow smuggling. According to the police, when they attempted to catch a cow smuggler named Naushad, a resident of Bhagwanpur, he attacked the police personnel. In response, the police opened fire, resulting in Naushad getting seriously injured. He was taken into custody and admitted to a hospital for treatment. During the incident, police stated that several of his accomplices managed to flee the scene. As of the date of writing this report, multiple police teams were deployed from the Piran Kaliyar police station to track down the remaining suspects. It should be noted that both cow slaughter and cow smuggling are banned in the state of Uttarakhand.
