Case Summary
In Jaipur, Rajasthan, a Hindu girl was lured into a relationship by a Muslim man named Yasir Khan. He had sexual relations with her under the pretext of marriage. He also physically assaulted and threatened the victim. According to media reports, the Hindu girl was a resident of the Manda area of Sikar district. She was preparing for competitive exams in Jaipur. During this time, she met Yasir Khan, who posed as a Hindu, befriended the girl and lured her into a relationship. According to the victim, Yasir had sexual relations with her on the false pretext of marriage. When the victim discovered his true religious identity, she protested. Following this, Yasir brutally assaulted her and threatened to kill her. Troubled by this, the victim reached out to the Malviya Nagar police and registered a complaint against the accused. According to ACP Malviya Nagar Aditya Poonia, on the complaint of the girl, a case was registered against the accused Yasir Khan under relevant sections of the BNS. The police began a detailed investigation is this matter and assured that the accused would be apprehended.
