Outside the Collectorate, members of the Sarva Hindu Samaj staged a strong protest against this incident. They even submitted a memorandum to the Collector, expressing concern that such cases occurred on a regular basis. The memorandum stated that young Muslim men were targeting Hindu girls through ‘love traps’ and called on authorities to identify such individuals and take preventative action. The memorandum further stated that the accused was involved in illegal land occupation and unlawful business activities, urging police and administrative intervention. It specifically named a Muslim man, Mohid Khan alias Fugga, along with his accomplices Iklesh, Mahir, and others, as part of an illegal gang operating in the city. According to the memorandum, this gang was involved in the illicit drug trading and illegal fishing in the Rajsamand Lake. It also said that the gang had illegally occupied government land in areas such as Sanwad, Bagpura, Jalchakki, and Kelwa. The document accused the administration of inaction, contributing to an atmosphere of fear among the local Hindu population.
