In Haldwani, Uttarakhand, a Muslim youth named Hafiz was caught raping a cow. Angered locals shaved his head and handed him over to the police. Initially, he provided a false name, Nafees, and wore a Kalava on his hand. The incident occurred on June 14, 2023, in the Mukhani police station area. Mahesh Chandra filed a complaint after witnessing the act. He found Hafiz raping a cow in a garden while grazing his cow. Hafiz attempted to flee upon seeing Mahesh but was caught and detained by locals. He was around 25 years old and resided on Bareilly Road in Haldwani. The incident sparked outrage, leading to Hafiz being thrashed and his head shaved. The incident was recorded and circulated on social media.
