In the Gumla district of Jharkhand, a 14-year-old Hindu girl was abducted and raped by a Muslim man named Tauheed Ansari. He was assisted in his crime by another Muslim accomplice, Hasan Ansari. On the morning of 18th August 2025, as she was making her way to school, he forced her onto his motorcycle and took her to a secluded location. Hasan later arrived in a vehicle, and together they transported her to Masaria Dam in the Ghaghra block, where Tauheed raped her after issuing her death threats. The incident came to light when the Hindu victim returned home and narrated her ordeal to her family. Following this, the police registered a case under the POCSO Act after a complaint was made by the victim's mother. Subsequently, the police arrested Tauheed on 20th August 2025 and incarcerated him, while the authorities continued to conduct raids to arrest the other Muslim perpetrator, Hasan.
