Some bystanders offered water to the Sri Ram Sena members, who were left breathless from the beating. The viral video footage was captured by some women standing on the balconies of nearby houses, using their mobile phones, and later uploaded to social media platforms. The police were subsequently notified, and the cows were sent to shelters. District Superintendent of Police Dr Bhimashankar Guled informed DH that the police took suo motu cognisance of the incident, registered a case, and began an investigation into this matter.
