According to reports, Azad and his accomplices persuaded the minor to elope with them. When the victim's father reached out to Azad’s family, they initially gave assurances about returning the girl. However, the situation soon escalated when the accused and his accomplices abused and issued death threats to the victim's family. The victim’s family then approached the Sibiganj Police Station and filed a formal complaint. In response, the police registered the case and initiated a comprehensive investigation aimed at locating the girl and arresting the culprits.
