Dalit Hindu boy assaulted, gang-raped and blackmailed by Muslim men

Case Summary
In Dabra, Madhya Pradesh, a Hindu Dalit boy was gang-raped by three Muslim men. The accused also assaulted him and blackmailed him to further exploit him. As per reports, the accused were identified as Kallu Zaheer, also known as Kallu Rappan, Aashiq Khan, and Ashfaq Khan, who lived in the same locality as the victim. According to the victim, in 2022, the trio took him to Kallu Rappan’s house. There, they beat him with a belt and removed his clothes. The three then raped him in turn. They also recorded a video of the assault. Using this video, they blackmailed him for an extended period and continued to sexually exploit him. Distressed by the ongoing abuse, the victim confided in his neighbour, Vicky Badshah. Together, they went to the police station to file a complaint against the accused. The victim lodged a complaint at the Jangipura police station. The police registered a case under Section 377 against the three perpetrators. The police responded promptly by taking Kallu Rappan and Aashiq Khan into custody. The third accused, Ashfaq Khan, absconded. Police stated that efforts were underway to locate the absconding accused and arrest him.
