Minor Hindu girl sexually harassed by Muslim man during train journey in Tripura

Case Summary
In the Dharamnagar town of Tripura, a minor Hindu girl on a train was sexually harassed by a Muslim man named Mohammed Ibrahim. According to media reports, the incident occurred on the Tripura Sundari express train. Mohammed Ibrahim was seated directly opposite the 15-year-old Hindu girl in the general compartment. After several passengers deboarded at Ambassa station, Ibrahim took advantage of the relative emptiness and started sexually harassing the girl. He started making lewd and sexually suggestive gestures towards the minor. The victim recorded a video capturing the disturbing actions of Mohammed Ibrahim and sent the footage to her brother. Following this, the incident soon came to the attention of other passengers, who apprehended the accused and repeatedly slapped him. A video of this incident went viral on social media. In the viral video, a Hindu woman was seen striking Ibrahim with a chappal in response to his sexual harassment of the minor Hindu girl. When the train arrived at Dharmanagar town, the accused was removed from the train and handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP).
Why it is Hate Crime ?
