In Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, a minor Hindu girl aged 16 was deceived and lured into a friendship/relationship by a Muslim man who pretended to be Hindu. According to media reports, the incident came to light on 15 February 2026 when a minor Hindu student went to her coaching class and went missing. The student's father said, "My daughter left home around 11 a.m. on Sunday (15 February 2026) morning, saying she was going to coaching classes. When she did not arrive for a long time, we were worried." They searched for her and found her in a room belonging to a Muslim man living in the area. The family stated that the Muslim man had met the teenager about three months earlier (November 2025). He had introduced himself as Arun. He had begun communicating under this name, and the two had remained in contact. Later, the family learned that the young man had concealed his true identity. Sonu, a Hindu Raksha Dal activist, said, "We received information that a Muslim youth had lured a minor girl and taken her with him. Upon arriving at the scene, we found the girl in the Muslim youth's room. We immediately informed the police." Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and the victim's father made a complaint to the police. The matter was further investigated by the police, and the accused was sent to jail.
