34-year-old Muslim man rapes a 4-year-old Hindu girl in Pandav Nagar, accused arrested, local Hindus protest

Case Summary
A 4-year-old girl was raped by a 34-year-old Muslim man, Appu alias Arman, in East Delhi's Pandav Nagar neighbourhood on 23rd March. The incident occurred when the girl went to her tuition, but the accused sexually violated her under the guise of teaching. The victim's tutor, who is the sister of the accused, was not present at home, and the perpetrator threatened her not to tell anyone about the incident. The girl returned home in tears and confided in her parents. A case against the perpetrator was filed at Mandwali Police Station, and the girl was referred to the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) from Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital. Heavy police force was deployed as locals protested and demanded action. In a video shot by OpIndia, local Hindus testified that this was not the first time that the Muslims committed similar crimes.
Why it is Hate Crime ?
In this case, It was also only the Hindus of the locality who were protesting. This indicates that the victim was a Hindu child and the locals believed that it was a targeted hate crime. However, in the footage acquired by OpIndia, the locals don't mention specifically that the Hindus of the area are targeted by Muslims specifically.
