The perpetrator was married with children, but also falsely claimed to be unmarried. The woman, unaware of his actual background, entered into a romantic relationship with him under the belief that he was an unmarried Hindu. Several days later, while visiting a gym, the woman encountered the man with his Muslim wife and children. Shocked by this, she confronted him at the gym, leading to a verbal altercation and a scene. Upon this, she discovered his true identity, and the Hindu woman ended the relationship. Despite the breakup, the man persisted in contacting the woman from various mobile numbers and began loitering near her residence. He continued to pressure her to resume the relationship, causing her significant distress. Disturbed by this harassment, the woman approached the Civil Lines police station in Roorkee and filed a formal complaint. The police then began an investigation into this matter. As per Hinduphobia Tracker's conversation with the police, after filing the complaint, the victim subsequently withdrew her complaint, as her family and the accused reached a compromise. This followed a warning given by the victim’s family to the accused to stay away from her.
