Hindu temple looted in Maharashtra: Hanuman idol’s jewellery stolen by unknown miscreants

Case Summary
In Sangrampur taluka of Buldhana district, jewellery and valuables were stolen from a Hanuman temple by unknown miscreants. Some unidentified individuals broke into the Maroti (Hanuman) temple located in Palsoda village (Mahasiddha) in Sangrampur taluka. According to the police, the incident occurred in the middle of the night, when the miscreants broke the lock of the temple and stole silver ornaments weighing 1 kg 450 grams, valued at approximately Rs 1 lakh 1 thousand. The theft has sparked unrest across the taluka, raising concerns about the safety of even sacred Hindu spaces. Following the incident, Shankar Dhokane, President of the temple trust, approached the Sonala Police Station and filed a complaint. As of the date of writing this report, efforts were underway to locate the unknown men and recover the temple jewellery.
