As a result, the family felt threatened and fearful for their safety. In this case, Circle Officer (CO) Kaushambi, Abhishek Singh, confirmed that a case had been registered and that the police had begun an investigation. He also acknowledged receiving a complaint about the accused threatening the victim’s family and assured that this aspect would also be investigated. However, other police officials declined to even speak to the media about the matter. Speaking to the media, the victim said, “Mohammad Hasnain forced himself on me. Now he and his family are pressuring my family to compromise.” The victim’s family met the Senior Superintendent of Police (SP) of the district and demanded strict action in the case.
