Hindu women abused and assaulted by AIMIM-linked Muslim men, who forcefully asserted ownership rights over land belonging to the Hindu women

Case Summary
Two Muslim men linked to the AIMIM party, identified as Afsar Pathan and Salim Sayyed and three other unidentified women abused and brutally assaulted three Hindu women and forcefully claimed the ownership rights of land belonging to them. According to the FIR, the Hindu women were working with lentil crops on their 2-acre disputed farmland. The accused persons with their claimed wives arrived in the fields and began abusing the Hindu women claiming that the land on which the women were working belonged to them. While the women in the burqa who accompanied the accused men slapped the Hindu women and abused them, the accused persons used the sticks to physically assault the women. The men also threatened the Hindu ladies and asked them to vacate the premises.
Why it is Hate Crime ?
In this case, the Muslim accused are reported to have abused and assaulted the Hindu women while claiming ownership of their land. Given that the victims belong to the SC/ST caste, it is possible that caste-based slurs were directed at them, especially since they have stated that they were verbally abused by the accused. However, since there is no explicit confirmation of caste-based slurs, this case has been placed under the 'undecided' category. Should further information emerge, the case will be reassessed and reclassified under the relevant category.
