Case Summary
On November 20th, a 29-year-old Gaurakshak named Wagheshwar Adake was viciously assaulted by a group of alleged 'smugglers' while attempting to halt a truck illegally transporting cattle for slaughter from the Barad Marketyard area of Phaltan in Maharashtra’s Satara district. Adake was attacked with a sharp knife after intercepting the truck, which carried approximately 35-40 buffaloes, on the Phaltan-Pandharpur road.
