Hamid of Ahmednagar befriends minor Hindu girl, blackmails with her private picture to sexually assault her

Case Summary
In Maharashtra's Ahmednagar, one individual identified as Hamid Sayyed was booked for sexually assaulting a minor Hindu girl belonging to the SC/ST community. The victim girl, in her complaint to the police, stated that the accused Hamid stayed in her neighborhood area and that he sent her an Instagram request. As their friendship developed, Hamid took derogatory pictures and videos of the victim in October 2023, and began blackmailing her with them. He threatened to make the pictures viral if she refused to meet him. On meeting, the accused closed the doors of his house and sexually abused the minor. He also physically assaulted her, threatening to break off her marriage with her fiancé and kill her if she opened her mouth.
