A Hindu family, headed by a man named Dhirendra, was threatened with a bomb attack by a Muslim man named Maruf over the construction of a road through the victim's plot. According to media reports, Maruf already had several cases registered against him. He was accused of hooliganism, issuing threats, and creating an atmosphere of fear in the area. Maruf broke down the wall of Dhirendra's plot and constructed a road through it. When Dhirendra objected, Maruf threatened to kill him. He also threatened to bomb his house. The accused also verbally abused the female members of Dhirendra's family. Hinduphobia Tracker spoke to the victim and his family, who confirmed that Maruf had threatened to kill them in a bomb blast following a dispute over the construction of a road through Dhirendra’s plot. The family stated that the incident took place on 24 May 2025. Also, the CCTV footage and the victim's testimony, originally published by News18, clearly show the accused, Maruf, arriving at Dhirendra’s residence and issuing threats to bomb the house. The video has been attached for reference. CCTV footage that went viral on social media shows Maruf arriving at Dhirendra's house and threatening to kill him and blow up his house with a bomb. The video was widely circulated. The victim's family requested police protection for their lives and property, and demanded strict action against the accused. Varun Mishra, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Garhmukteshwar), stated that the Garh Kotwali police arrested Maruf. The viral video also showed Maruf riding a motorbike with some police officers, some of whom referred to him as their favourite.
