Minor girl molested, physically assaulted, and threatened with death by Muslim man in Uttar Pradesh

On the day of the incident, while the girl was returning from school, the accused Alam stopped her on her way. He then proceeded to make obscene gestures and then molested the girl. He also spat on her. The girl somehow managed to escape. She went back home and narrated her ordeal to her mother. Following this, on the next day, she was returning from her coaching classes when Alam again started molesting her. When the girl protested against his actions, he hit her and threw her on the road. He further started to abuse her in vulgar language and then threatened to kill her. According to news reports, Alam stated, "How long will you escape? I will not let you study. If you do not obey me, I will kill you and throw you away." According to news reports, since this incident was related to the two communities, a crowd gathered at the scene, outraged by the incident. Although the accused managed to flee, the crowd began to protest, further escalating tensions. Police arrived promptly and attempted to calm the situation. Pradeep Kumar Singh, the officer in charge of the Dubaulia police station, confirmed that a case had been registered against Siddiqui Alam and assured the public that a search was underway and he would be apprehended soon.
