Police reached the restaurant, took the minor girl and the accused into custody, and brought them to the Madhauganj police station for questioning. The accused’s motorcycle was also seized. Later, Mallawan police arrived, took both of them to Mallawan police station, and recorded statements. The girl’s brother, Shyam, filed a complaint stating that the Muslim youth had lured and taken away his minor sister. Based on the complaint, the police registered an FIR late in the night and arrested the accused.
