Married Aamir deceives Hindu girl, converts her forcefully and marries her

Case Summary
In Baldirai, Uttar Pradesh, police registered a case under the state’s Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act after a girl was reportedly deceived and forcibly converted. The complaint was filed by the girl's father, who stated that Aamir, a man from their village, misled his daughter with false promises of marriage. Claiming to be single, Aamir allegedly abducted the girl on October 31 and pressured her to convert and marry him on November 1. Later, the girl's family discovered that Aamir was already married and had two children. Disturbed by the situation, the girl's father approached the police, leading to a case against Aamir in Baldirai police station. After an investigation, police safely returned the girl to her family. On November 3, authorities arrested Aamir near the Baghauna canal. Sub-inspector Ravindra Singh confirmed that action had been taken against the accused.

In this case, the father of the victim said that the Muslim man deceived the Hindu girl and abducted her. He pretended to be single and abducted her to force her to convert to Islam and do nikah with him. The fact that the Muslim man deceived the Hindu girl and forced her to convert to Islam and do nikah with him despite being married proves that the victim was targeted specifically for her religious identity. This case is therefore being added to the hate crime database.
