A case of cow slaughter emerged in Patharkheda village, situated within the Thakurdwara Kotwali jurisdiction in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. As per media reports, upon receiving information, local Hindu activists arrived at the location and discovered nine large bags containing cow meat. They also found instruments typically used for butchering, including weighing scales, cleavers, and knives. Three individuals, one of whom was a woman, were apprehended on the spot. Mahant Baccha Baba of the Patharkheda Shiva temple confirmed that members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal reached the site promptly after receiving details of the incident. Their intervention led to the direct seizure of meat confirmed to be from slaughtered cows. Following this, the recovered meat, along with the detained individuals, was handed over to the local police. The police registered a case under applicable legal provisions that prohibit cow slaughter in the region.
