Muslim men arrested for smuggling cows; Gau Raksha Dal rescued 17 cattle in Palwal with police support

Case Summary
In Haryana’s Palwal district, members of the Gau Raksha Dal, risking their lives, intercepted a truck loaded with cattle on the KMP Expressway with the support of Chandhat Police. The vehicle was found to be packed with 17 bovines tied in an inhuman and brutal manner using ropes. The operation was carried out near the Chhajjunagar toll, where Gau Raksha Dal members, including Monu Manesar’s team, had set up a checkpoint after receiving intelligence. As the truck was stopped, two cow smugglers present on the spot were also apprehended by the Gau Rakshaks. Shortly after, a police team patrolling the area arrived and took the smugglers into custody. The arrested individuals were identified as Zafru, a resident of Jhumrawat village in Nuh district, and Junaid from Firozpur Namak village. During interrogation, the smugglers admitted that they were transporting the cattle from Sikandra in Meerut to Firozpur Namak. The cattle were being transported without regard for their safety or dignity, tied tightly and stuffed into the vehicle with no space or ventilation. The rescued animals included nine cows and eight calves of various sizes. Following the rescue, the police safely relocated the animals to a gaushala in Chandhat. A case was registered, and further investigation was underway.

There have been several documented cases throughout history where cow slaughter is used as a method to insult the Hindu faith, convert Hindus (by force-feeding beef) and desecrate temples.
