Hindu girl trapped and sexually assaulted by a Muslim man posing as Hindu

Case Summary
In Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district, the police arrested a Muslim man named Ishaq Ali for deceiving a Hindu girl by hiding his religious identity and posing as a Hindu. The victim, who was living in a rented house in Nalagarh, accused the Muslim man of deceiving her and sexually exploiting her under false pretences. She became pregnant, and when she confronted him, he started physically assaulting her. According to the woman, the accused had been stalking her since 2023, initially introducing himself as Ishu Sharma. He later began messaging her on his mobile, pretending to be Hindu. However, she later discovered his real name was Ishaq Ali. In August 2024, after her father’s passing left her alone, the accused lured her with false promises of marriage in court. However, he never married her, and she later found out that he was already married. ASP Ashok Verma confirmed that Ishaq Ali has been arrested, and the police are investigating the matter.

This itself is a clear manifestation of bias and malicious intent towards the victim's religion. By concealing his true identity, he exploited her trust, targeting her under false pretences. This indicates a premeditated intent to manipulate her based on her religious background. In cases like these, the tactic of adopting a false Hindu identity to manipulate and "ensnare" a Hindu individual is not just an act of personal betrayal but can also be interpreted as an expression of disdain or disregard for Hinduism and its customs that reflects a deeper animosity towards Hindus and their beliefs, and this is why this case has been added here.
