Seven Muslims arrested for idol theft in Bihar, dozens of idols recovered

Case Summary
In Bihar's Supaul district, a gang of seven Muslims were arrested for being part of an idol theft gang. The accused arrested were Mohammad Gaffar, Mohammad Ishtehar, Mohammad Shahadat, Mohammad Hajrat, Mohammad Kalam, Atabul and Ali Adam. The accused Muslims were part of a gang that robbed dozens of idols. The police also seized a country-made pistol and recovered tools that the gang members used to break locks during idol theft. Several rounds of live cartridges were also recovered from the accused. Mohammad Hajrat was the key accused in the idol theft cases. The police arrested all seven accused and filed a case against them according to the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). All the seven accused were then sent to jail.
