Severed cow head found, three Muslims arrested following confession of crime

Case Summary
A case of cow slaughter came to light in Siddharthnagar, where police arrested three accused involved in the crime. The arrests were made by a joint team comprising officers from Bansi Kotwali, Special Operations Group (SOG), and the Surveillance Cell. The police recovered essential evidence, including a bogda (butcher’s tool), a knife, a wooden platform, and two motorcycles from the accused. The severed head of a cow was discovered under the Pachpediya bridge on the Bansi-Dumariaganj road. Following the discovery, the Superintendent of Police in Siddharthnagar promptly formed three investigation teams. A case was registered under the Cow Slaughter Prevention Act at Kotwali Bansi, and an extensive search for the culprits began. During a vehicle check near the Qazi Rudhauli canal, the police apprehended three suspects: Aish Mohammad alias Sameer Ansari, Abrar Ahmed, and Jaber Ansari, all residents of the Pathra Bazaar police station area. Upon interrogation, the accused admitted to their involvement in the crime. Based on the recovered weapons, additional charges under the Arms Act were added to the case.
Why it is Hate Crime ?
The cow holds a sacred status in Hinduism. Non-Hindu perpetrators have often slaughtered cows as an act of deliberate disrespect toward the Hindu faith. Historically, numerous documented cases show that cow slaughter has been used to insult Hindu beliefs, coerce conversions by force-feeding beef and desecrating temples. While religious animosity against Hindus is frequently suspected as a motivating factor in such incidents, this particular case is being classified as 'undecided' due to the lack of concrete evidence. If further details emerge, it will be added to the hate crime database accordingly.
