Tribal Hindu woman brutally murdered by Muslim man for rejecting advances

Case Summary
A tribal woman, Manju Devi, was brutally murdered in Chakrawali village, Gola police station area. Her throat was slit, leaving behind her husband, Kalindra Munda, and two young children. The accused, Afsar Ansari, alias Raja Ansari, a cupboard mechanic from the same village and a native of Chas, Bokaro, fled the scene after committing the crime. The accused, Raja Ansari, was arrested the next morning on January 26. According to police investigations, Raja had been harassing Manju for years, attempting to trap her in a "love affair." It was found that he had ulterior motives, targeting compensation money received by Kalindra for land acquired under the Bharatmala project. The funds had allowed the family to build a new home, which Raja reportedly envied. Raja's advances were rejected by Manju, and his resentment culminated in the tragic murder. Gola police station in-charge, Abhishek Pratap, confirmed the arrest of Raja Ansari, who was then sent to jail.
