Hindu minor of Telangana repeatedly raped for six months by Muslim brothers Azmath and Akbar Ali, rapists arrested

Case Summary
On allegations of rape, Telangana police detained two brothers, Azmath and Akbar Ali, from the Mills Colony neighbourhood in the Warangal district of the state. Based on a complaint filed by the father of the 15-year-old Hindu victim, who accused them of sexually abusing his daughter over a six-month period, the two were taken into custody under pertinent provisions of the IPC and POCSO Act. The assault started with the older brother, a 27-year-old man who worked in a second-hand furniture store. Under the ruse of befriending her, he brought the minor girl to his residence and raped her. When his 22-year-old unemployed brother found out, he began sexually exploiting the girl in an isolated area of the neighbourhood as well. The pair reportedly threatened the victim with grave consequences if she told her family or went to the police. The complaint was filed when the girl's father became suspicious of the youths' actions and installed CCTV cameras in front of his house.
