Mohammad Ansarul killed his wife by chopping her body into two pieces and drowning them in the Mahananda river canal in West Bengal’s Siliguri. The case came to fore after the deceased's family members lodged a missing complaint on December 24 last year. During the interrogation, the accused admitted to his crime. The victim's family alleged that Ansarul killed his wife due to “family problems”.
