Two minor Hindu girls of Indore threatened by Wahid and Aman to marry them and convert to Islam
Case Summary
In Mhow near Indore, two young men, Wahid and Aman threatened sixteen year old girls that if they do not become Muslims by marrying them, they will not be able to show their faces anywhere in the Hindu society. According to the victims' statement to the police, accused Wahid restrained one of them tightly, and when the other attempted to free her, accused Aman also restrained her and started engaging in obscene actions. Mhow police have filed an obscene acts complaint under the Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act, the POCSO Act, and relevant provisions of the IPC. The victims told the police that the accused were indulging in obscene acts with them and pressurising them to get married. When the young girls refused to marry, the accused said that they have no value in Hindu society. The accused said to the victims, “Marry us and convert to Islam.”
