The attackers stole the priest’s gold flower necklace, weighing 2.5 tolas, and his silver bangles. They also looted the jewellery adorning the temple idol. Navaram, who has been serving at the temple for 40 years, described the sudden attack and theft. Villagers rushed to the spot upon learning of the incident and took the injured priest to Rani Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later referred to Bangar Hospital in Pali. The police launched an investigation into the attack and theft.
