Case Summary
In Delhi, a minor Hindu girl was deceived, abducted and pressured for religious conversion by a man who posed as a Hindu. According to reports, the minor Hindu girl, a resident of Delhi, was deceived by the accused, who operated an Instagram account under the false Hindu name of Sahil Yadav. The accused befriended her and also pressured her for religious conversion. He persuaded the victim to travel from Delhi to Kota, Rajasthan, during which the Railway Protection Force at the Kota railway station grew suspicious of the couple. The RPF immediately detained them and handed them over to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC). Subsequent investigation revealed that the minor victim's family had already filed a case against the accused in Delhi, and police were looking for the accused. Acting swiftly, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) summoned the victim's family and handed over the minor to them. The Child Welfare Committee coordinated with the family, called the girl’s parents from Delhi to Kota, and formally handed the minor back into their custody. Considering the seriousness of the incident and the victim being a minor, the Child Welfare Committee wrote to the City Superintendent of Police, seeking a thorough investigation and strict legal action against the accused to prevent recurrence of similar incidents.
