In the Bhopa village of Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, a 17-year-old Hindu girl was abducted and sexually exploited by a Muslim youth named Ruhaan. The police immediately registered a case and managed to rescue her promptly. They found that a Muslim youth named Ruhaan, a resident of Bhopa, had taken the minor victim and was attempting to take her to another state, with the intention of marrying her. The police registered an FIR under kidnapping of a minor, rape, POCSO, and criminal conspiracy relating to fraudulent marriage, and he was subsequently challaned.

Why it is Hate Crime ?
