In Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, Hindu guests at a wedding procession were targeted and attacked by Muslim men, namely Irshad and his accomplices, over a minor altercation. A wedding procession belonging to the Raikwar community arrived in Jakhora, Lalitpur, from Tikamgarh district, Madhya Pradesh. The wedding procession, accompanied by a band and music, began its journey to the bride's home. Midway through the procession, the lights on the groom's carriage went out. Wedding party members asked the carriage driver, Irshad, to turn them on. This led to a dispute between the Hindu guests and the carriage driver, Irshad. Irshad then called his Muslim associates and attacked the procession with sticks. A Hindu guest named Sagar Raikwar was seriously injured in the attack, and he was referred to a hospital in Gwalior. However, he died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Following this, the Hindu family members and villagers were furious at the carriage driver, Irshad, and his associates, and they protested at the police station. Subsequently, the police registered a case against the main accused, Irshad, and his accomplices Imran, Rashid, and Ajmeri, and arrested them. Additional Superintendent of Police Kalu Singh stated that a case had been registered at the Jakhora police station on 24th November 2025. On the following day, 25th November 2025, the charges were increased, and the four Muslim accused were produced in court.
