Case Summary

In Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, an 18-year-old Hindu youth, Janu Yadav alias Simran, was lured by a Muslim kinnar, forcibly subjected to genital mutilation, coerced into adopting the kinnar identity, and pressured to convert to Islam. The victim stated that he was forced to eat beef (cow meat), made to recite the Islamic Kalma, and repeatedly pressured to abandon his Hindu faith. According to the complaint, Janu Yadav is a resident of Bhaulapur village under Mangalpur police station in Kanpur Dehat. He was working as a dancer with a drama company in Kanpur. He regularly uploaded videos of his performances on social media along with his mobile number. Around four years ago, in 2022, a Muslim kinnar identified as Heena contacted him after seeing his videos and invited him to accompany the kinnar group to perform at celebratory events. Over time, he frequently visited Heena and remained in contact with the group. The victim stated that during this period, Heena and her associates repeatedly pressured him to convert to Islam. He consistently refused to renounce his Hindu faith despite the persistent coercion. In a video that went viral, the victim stated that Heena first called him to stay with the group, where his nose and ears were deliberately pierced against his wishes. Disturbed by these actions, he fled from their custody on 10 March 2026. According to the victim, the accused subsequently contacted him again and persuaded him to return. Thereafter, Heena and three associates took him to Delhi on the pretext of taking him on a trip. The victim stated that after reaching Delhi, he was administered an intoxicating injection without his informed consent. While he was under its effect, he was taken to a hospital in the Narela area of Delhi, where his genitals were surgically removed, forcibly transforming him into a kinnar. He stated that when he protested after regaining consciousness, the accused threatened him with serious consequences and silenced him through intimidation. The victim further stated in his viral video that after the forced genital mutilation, Heena and her associates compelled him to consume beef (cow meat), despite his Hindu faith, and forced him to recite the Islamic Kalma. He stated that he was repeatedly pressured to convert to Islam and abandon his Hindu religious identity. Troubled by the course of events, the victim, along with Kajal Kinnar, a resident of Bharkaliganj village, approached the Circle Officer (CO) and sought the registration of an FIR. The victim also reported that the accused robbed him of 15 tolas of gold jewellery and cash. The CO, Puwaiyan Praveen Malik, stated that a complaint was received. At the time of writing the report, the investigation was underway.

The continuity of these actions revealed a clear intention to erase the victim's Hindu identity through intimidation, coercion, and religious degradation. Such acts are not isolated but driven by a broader ideological hostility towards Hindus as non-believers and reflect an attempt to impose religious dominance. They are, in fact, carried out by Muslim perpetrators due to indoctrination by Islamic theology, which advocates that all non-Muslims (referred to as kafirs) are inferior and subject to subjugation unless they convert to Islam or live under Islamic rule (dhimmitude). These ideas are not mere abstractions; they manifest in actions where non-Muslims, especially Hindus in India, are seen as targets for religious domination, coercion, or humiliation. This theological framework fosters an "us versus them" mindset, in which any assertion of Hindu identity or religious freedom is seen not only as undesirable but as a threat to Islamic supremacy.
