Case Summary
The Pipleshwar Mahadev temple in Madhya Pradesh's Guna district was vandalized on the night of January 31st and February 1st. The Shivling and idol of Lord Nandi were uprooted and thrown onto the road after the temple's door was smashed. A complaint was filed against seven men, namely, Shah Rukh, Reehan, Wafati, Anwar, Zeeshan, Bittu and Raheesh, by resident Saurabh Kirar, who suspected their involvement. The incident, which occurred in Bamori town, enraged locals, who demanded the immediate arrest of the accused and the demolition of their houses. The vandalism has created a tense atmosphere in the town.
