Hindu nurse deceived by Muslim man pretending to be Hindu, sexually exploited

Case Summary
A Muslim man, Badshah Khan, a police constable posted in Shahjahanpur, posed as a Hindu to lure a Hindu lady nurse from Lucknow. Through social media, Khan deceived the victim and extracted ₹50 lahks from her under the pretence of marrying her. He also got in a physical relationship with her assuring that he would marry her, and later threatened her that he would kill her if she revealed it anywhere. The victim filed an FIR at a Lucknow police station, stating that the accused hid his identity to gain her trust and subsequently intimidated her. Outraged by the incident, members of the Hindu Jagran Manch staged a protest at the Shahjahanpur Collectorate, demanding strict action against the constable. Led by metropolitan president Rajesh Awasthi, the protesters burned an effigy of the accused and called for his immediate suspension. The Hindu Jagran Manch labelled the incident as a case of “love jihad,” expressing concern over instances of women being deceived by individuals hiding their religious identities.

This indicates a premeditated intent to manipulate her based on her religious background. In cases like these, the tactic of adopting a false Hindu identity to manipulate and "ensnare" a Hindu individual is not just an act of personal betrayal but can also be interpreted as an expression of disdain or disregard for Hinduism and its customs that reflects a deeper animosity towards Hindus and their beliefs, and this is why this case has been added here.
