Uttar Pradesh: Taufiq and Shadab rape minor Hindu Dalit girl, thrash victim’s mother

A minor Dalit Hindu girl was raped by two men, Shadab and Taufiq, in a village in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh on July 19. The incident occurred when the girl, accompanied by her mother, stepped out of her house to urinate. Shadab and Taufiq dragged the victim to a nearby field and took turns raping her while thrashing her mother so much that she became unconscious. The accused fled the scene, leaving their motorcycles behind. Shadab was been arrested by the police, while Taufiq was still on the run.
