Muslim junk shopkeeper's nephew molests five-year-old Hindu girl in Jharkhand's Sahibganj

Case Summary
On July 1, 2024, a five-year-old Hindu girl from Gunihari Panchayat in Jharkhand's Sahibganj district visited a junk shop run by Tausif Sheikh. When the girl asked for money for the junk, she was refused. Further, Tausif's nephew molested her when she was leaving. He pulled her pants down and did obscene acts with her. The girl managed to escape and told her family about the incident. The girl's family filed a complaint with the police, but no action has been taken so far. The victim's father expressed frustration with the lack of response.
