In Madhya Pradesh, over 53 mutilated cow remains were discovered in three locations, causing distress among the Hindu community. The remains were dumped into the sacred Wainganga River. A local Hindu activist suggested the incident was an intentional act by the Muslim community to offend Hindus, linking it to the recent Bakrid observance. He called for a CBI inquiry and severe actions against the culprits, warning of massive protests if demands were not met. Superintendent of Police Rakesh Sinha assured the public that the investigation is examining all angles to identify and arrest those responsible. Efforts to retrieve all carcasses from the river are ongoing despite the challenges posed by recent rains.
