Cow smuggler attempts to flee from Police, engages in gunfight, gets shot in the leg

Case Summary
A cow smuggler named Sufiyan was apprehended after a gunfight with police in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Sufiyan, who has multiple cases against him, was stopped at a police checkpoint but tried to flee, leading to a chase. He lost balance and fell, then fired at the police, who returned fire and shot him in the leg. A viral video shows him pleading for forgiveness. The police identified him as Kaif alias Sufiyan from Shamli, wanted by three police stations and involved in cow smuggling. A pistol, cartridges, and a motorcycle were recovered from him. He is currently under treatment and investigation.

There have been several documented cases throughout history where cow slaughter is used as a method to insult the Hindu faith, convert Hindus (by force-feeding beef) and desecrate temples.
