City SP Abhinav Barange mentioned that some participants said they were also targeted with stones. As the police investigated the site, more stones were thrown, leading to a clash where a police vehicle's glass was broken. In response, law enforcement used mild force to disperse the crowd, and additional police forces were deployed to maintain order. The police said about the incident that the accusation of stone pelting was primarily made by a transgender called Kajal. Two others had made the accusations. However, during the investigation, they found no evidence of stone pelting and that the version of the three was inconsistent. After the stone pelting on the police while they investigated the scene, allegedly by protesting Hindus, the police book several Hindus.
