Teacher Akhtar Ali molests 9-year-old Hindu student in Kathlal's school

Case Summary
On August 31, 2024 in Kathlal, Kheda, Gujarat, a 9-year-old girl studying in the 4th standard was molested by a school teacher identified as Akhtar Ali Mehmood Miyan Syed. The accused called the student to his classroom under the pretext of cleaning, and then grabbed her and took off her clothes. After returning home, the victim girl narrated the entire incident to the family after which they immediately lodged a complaint. Local Hindus protested and demanded bulldozer action when the heinous crime came to light. The accused was arrested after the FIR was filed under sections of the BNS and POCSO Acts.
Why it is Hate Crime ?
In this case, a minor Hindu girl was raped by a Muslim perpetrator. Since Hindu organisations protested, there is an assumption that the victim was a Hindu child as well. It has often been seen that Muslim perpetrators target Hindu women owing to intrinsic animosity towards Hindus, specifically Hindu women.
